Recently I was contacted by Signi Caine of Siglarr Viking Naturals–a family-owned Canadian natural skincare company. They were pretty pumped about their new line of pomace products, and after hearing their story, I was too!
I get it. Sometimes it’s just easier to pick up a product from a drugstore. And it’s okay! It’s important to remember that although there’s a ton of icky, chemical-filled skincare out there, there are also a few nice conventional products. Yes, there are some decent natural products at drugstores, but I’m actually going a step further here to talk about conventional products. These companies don’t even market themselves as natural!
Lately I’ve been veering away from fragrance and leaning more toward unscented products. It may have something to do with a certain little bun in my oven (yes, it’s true!) making me more sensitive to scents these days.
I have a love-hate relationship with summer skincare and beauty. On the one hand, I love the low-key, stress-free, easygoing summer vibe. On the other hand, summer skin can be kinda gross, between greasy sunscreen, sweat, and dehydration.
